YOUR Gift List
YOUR Gift List!
You have been thinking all about gifts to give to other people because you are such a giving person! Lists are made, shopping has even been started, but I bet you have left off one very important person, YOURSELF. Right now go and take a sheet of paper and place it in your Christmas Notebook. Now on the top of the sheet write the words “My Gift List” and number it 1 to 10. Now think of at least 3 items to place on the list. As you are shopping (online, catalog and stores) write down other items you would like to have. Do not limit your list to store bought items, remember to add in things like 3 hours of babysitting, 10 pieces of ironing, breakfast in bed, car washed, magazine subscriptions, movie night with a child/grandchild, etc.
What is the purpose of this list? That is easy! When people in your family begin asking what you would like for Christmas (because let’s face it – not everyone plans ahead like we do!!) you can go to your list and give them some ideas – and they are things you have already thought about! You might want to make a copy to put on the fridge incase your husband needs this information for himself or others who might ask him what you would like.
Have fun making your list!

Write Down Everyone You Would Like to Give a Gift To!
Wouldn't you just love to give everyone you know a small gift or token this coming holiday season?
While most people's budget will not allow this, it is still important to list everyone on your gift list page in your notebook. Just sit down with a blank piece of paper and start jotting down names as they come to you. Do not forget the paper delivery person, your minister, children's teachers (including aides), etc. as well as all your family.
If you would like pre-made gift list forms you may join the Candy Cane Club or purchase the Christmas Organizing Handbook download for $9.95 at the top of the page. It includes forms designed around my suggestions.
After you do this list you need to assign everyone a letter. Here is an example of what I do in my notebook: A = must give, B = really want to give, C = want to give, and D = will give if I can. You can use more letters or other classifications to suit your needs. By dividing your list up this way you do not end up putting a D person before an A person!
