Newport News, VA - Festival of Lights
Submitted by mrsmouse on Thu, 08/24/2006 - 13:10.For the past 10+ years, there has been a Festival of Lights built in Newport News City Park in Newport News, Virginia. It's a beautiful light desplay to drive through, beginning Thanksgiving Day and going on until New Year's Day. The cost is only a few dollars, and that money goes towards upkeep of the lights, with any extra going to a local charity.

Submitted by Christmas Princess on Fri, 09/15/2006 - 00:54.I live in Ohio but every holiday season we go to nearby Wheeling, West Virginia to see the Oglebay Festival of Lights.
It's a spectacular display that will literally take you at least an hour of driving around to see it all! I think they offer paid rides but we always prefer to drive around in our own car at our own pace.
