Christmas Tips & Quotes

I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year.

Krisann's Thoughts

My Christmas List . . .

Ok I am already being asked by family what I want for Christmas and I have to admit that I have not really worked on my list. I know I want some egg cups, a particular down pillow but beyond that I am not sure. My grandmother already has all of my family's gifts bought and wrapped except for me so I guess I have to get out my notebook and do some serious thinking!

Christmas music

I have been listening to a lot of Christmas Music as I've been recuperating from my back injury. I have a very large collection of it, and have downloaded it to my MP3 player so I can take it on my daily walks with me. My grandmother was my piano teacher and she really loved Christmas music as did my Grandfather. His favorite was Bing Crosby. He would listen to rock and roll with me and then I would listen to Bing with him. Funny thing, nowadays, I prefer Bing to Rock. Christmas brings back so many good memories of childhood for me. It also brings back memories of my younger brother who passed away unexpectedly 13 years ago. He loved it like I did. When he died in August, he had already purchased my Mom's Christmas gift and it's now a keepsake to her.

Out of pain. . .faith

My back had terrible spasms on Monday, and, after two days of lying on the floor in great pain every time I moved, I began to wonder if life would ever be the same again. Just goes to show you the power of prayer. After a lot of prayer and faith, and the help of two wonderful sons and husband who took care of me, I'm feeling much much better and can sit up and knit some Christmas mittens today! I'm so thankful for all everyone did for me, and I hope that I can stay pain free now. Lying on the floor needing to ask for help with the simplest things made me think. I really want to give back to everyone this Christmas and show them how much I love and care for them!

102 and I am thinking CHRISTMAS!

Ok maybe I am crazy but it is 102 degrees outsite officially (I just got VISTA and love having a tempature setting on the desktop!) but all I am thinking about is Christmas!  I am trying to get some packages wrapped and the mailing packages prepared so I can begin my "shipping mode" for gifts that need to be sent off.  I am hoping to get my gifts that go to Germany in the mail by the first of October so I can send them on the boat and save some money - those gifts will mainly be pictures and albums for everyone so they will be a little heavy.  I am on a hunt for mailing boxes that look like gift boxes.  I think the Post Office sells them but not till closer to Christmas and I really do not want to wait that long to purchase them.  But if I have to I will get some good old paper bags and put each boxes content in them and then when the boxes come out just remove from the bag into the box.

Hello, I'm new and I love Christmas

Hi Everyone!  I'm new here, and, like most of you, I love Christmas and everything about it.  I also love to prepare for it all through the year.  I really think that Christmas is not a date, but a state of mind!
