Tips and Hints

102 degrees and Christmas in my Heart!

I am contemplating some new projects (just a couple) for Christmas this year. It's been a long time since I've blogged here, and since my last entry, I've finished my knitted and crocheted dishcloths for the friends and neighbors.

I am a newbie

I am new to this site. I look forward to reading others blogs and receiving different tips for the upcoming holidays. I love CHristmas! I am an early bird my tree goes up on the 1st of Nov. I suffer from Depression and it brightens my days to see my tree!

August already!

August already, and we are getting ready for "back-to-school" at our house. We've been learning to celebrate Christmas in different ways the last few years as more and more of my five children leave home to start their own families.

Another Summer day

This day is hot and muggy. The air is so heavy with moisture that it's sticky, and that is unusual in Utah. We are a desert state. The garden is green and growing fast. Pumpkins are in bloom. And me, as usual----I'm dreaming of a white Christmas.

After July 4th, I'm anxious to get going. . .

After the fourth of July, I begin getting the "itch" to start preparing in earnest for Christmas. This year is no different. I am finishing a crocheted afghan that will be entered in the county fair, (as I watch Christmas movies for my own personal "Christmas in July" celebration). After the fair, I can give the afghan to someone special for a Christmas gift. I've already knitted mittens during my "Mittens for Christmas" month back in March. They will be package tie-ons for my children and grandchildren this year.
