Christmas music
Submitted by snowflake on Tue, 10/16/2007 - 16:42.I have been listening to a lot of Christmas Music as I've been recuperating from my back injury. I have a very large collection of it, and have downloaded it to my MP3 player so I can take it on my daily walks with me. My grandmother was my piano teacher and she really loved Christmas music as did my Grandfather. His favorite was Bing Crosby. He would listen to rock and roll with me and then I would listen to Bing with him. Funny thing, nowadays, I prefer Bing to Rock. Christmas brings back so many good memories of childhood for me. It also brings back memories of my younger brother who passed away unexpectedly 13 years ago. He loved it like I did. When he died in August, he had already purchased my Mom's Christmas gift and it's now a keepsake to her.

Out of pain. . .faith
Submitted by snowflake on Thu, 10/11/2007 - 21:12.My back had terrible spasms on Monday, and, after two days of lying on the floor in great pain every time I moved, I began to wonder if life would ever be the same again. Just goes to show you the power of prayer. After a lot of prayer and faith, and the help of two wonderful sons and husband who took care of me, I'm feeling much much better and can sit up and knit some Christmas mittens today! I'm so thankful for all everyone did for me, and I hope that I can stay pain free now. Lying on the floor needing to ask for help with the simplest things made me think. I really want to give back to everyone this Christmas and show them how much I love and care for them!
