Cookies

Pumpkin Bars

A lighter alternative to pumpkin pie

Chocolate Crinkles

A rich, fudgy cookie with a powdered sugar topping, Chocolate Crinkles look fastive but are easy to make.  I have made them for our cookie exchange for the past several years, and people always request the recipe.

Monster Cookies

Monster Cookies are one of my family's favorite cookies.

Cream Cheese Cookies

A very rich, but utterly delicious cookie.

Raspberry Jell-O Cookies with White Chocolate Decoration

Cream together butter, sugar, Jell-O and vanilla. Sift together dry ingredients. Add to creamed mixture. Form into 1-inch balls, then flatten with the bottom of a glass or your hand. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 - 12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden brown.

I prefer "make and mold" brand white/vanilla meltable candy disks. You can get these in a craft store in the candy making section. Melt and use squirt bottle (similar to cheap restaurant ketchup or mustard squirter) to squeeze on designs such as a spiral.

4 cups sifted flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1-1/2 cups butter or margarine

1 cup sugar

1 3-oz. pkg. of Jell-O (raspberry)

1 egg

1 teaspoon vanilla

White/ vanilla chocolate candy disks

Another Summer day

This day is hot and muggy. The air is so heavy with moisture that it's sticky, and that is unusual in Utah. We are a desert state. The garden is green and growing fast. Pumpkins are in bloom. And me, as usual----I'm dreaming of a white Christmas.

Hello, I'm new and I love Christmas

Hi Everyone!  I'm new here, and, like most of you, I love Christmas and everything about it.  I also love to prepare for it all through the year.  I really think that Christmas is not a date, but a state of mind!
