41 Days and Counting

Did you know that from today there is just 41 days till Christmas Day 2008?

Part of me is excited but the other part knows there is much to do. Our family's Christmas celebration actually begins on November 30, the first Sunday of Advent. Of course that is when we begin celebrating, and there are many items that still need to be done before that day!

I am also the chairperson of the Christmas Cottage and am making items to be sold at that. One trick for me though is most of the items that I make and take to sell are earmarked as gifts if they do not sell.

Today my plans are to complete my calender for the holiday season - filling in all the little things that I may have forgotten about but now are popping up. By sitting down with the plan I have outlined on my web site titled "Creating a Christmas Calender" I will be able to quickly create and put in place a road map so to speak for the entire Christmas season. When I complete the calendar I will go to the office supply store and have them blow it up to a bigger size, bring it home and the kids and I will decorate it with stamps, stencils, and pictures. Once it is decorated we will hang it on the fridge and then continue to add to it as the season progresses.
