Gifts for men

I have a really difficult time coming up with really good gifts for men. The one exception to the rule is my Dad. He loves books, and the more the better, so I can always get him a good book and he will always love it. My husband, on the other hand, is not a "material" person. He truly is content to just enjoy the true spirit of Christmas and he often says that, as long as the kids and I have what we need, he's happy. What do you give a great guy like that? I also have four sons who are much the same. I still like to get gifts for them. I still enjoy coming up with something they like. That's the spirit of gift-giving for me. One person on my list is especially hard. She's a "clean freak" and most things she has received from me are just given back to me when she "cleans out". She also is very diet conscious and doesn't eat food gifts. This is how I have solved this problem the last few years: I've become really tired of spending a lot of money on things this person isn't going to like, so I have very carefully selected her gift at a local thrift store. It hasn't cost me much, it looks new, and I at least have a comfort of knowing that I didn't break the budget for another un-appreciated gift. The funny thing has been that, the thrift store gifts have actually seemed to please her better than the expensive things I bought before. Maybe I just have given them with a better attitude? What do you think?
