Description
This is our family's all time favorite "comfort food". My friend brought it to us just after the birth of our daughter Baylie, now almost six. We make it nearly every month now.  If you already have the leftover chicken this only takes about 10 minutes to prepare!
Ingredients
- 5 C choppen cooked chicken breasts
- 1 ea can cream of chicken soup (10-3/4 oz)
- 1⁄2 ea large onion
- 1 tsp butter or margarine
- 1 C sour cream
- 1⁄2 C milk
- 2 C shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 ea pkgs lg refrigerator biscuits (i.e. grands)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9x13 baking dish. Chop onion & saute over medium heat with butter until tender. Combine onion, chicken, soup, sour cream, milk and 1-1/3 cup cheese in large bowl and mix well. Spoon mixture into prepared baking dish. Arrange biscuits in single later over top (you will have some left).  Bake until biscuits are golden brown and sauce is bubbling. Sprinkle remailing cheese over the top and bake for an additional 2-3 minutes until melted.  Serve while hot.   Â
Notes
Makes great leftovers too!Â
