Are You Over-Booked, Over-Stressed & Out of Christmas JOY?  The Christmas Coach is Here to Help!

Is It Worth the Hassle?

As you decide where and when to go shopping during the Christmas season you must ask yourself if this adventure is worth the hassle.  Hassle?  Yes!  Christmas shopping can easily become a hassle-not because of you but because of other people.

People can be right down rude and mean over a 1/2 price item that will most likely be on sale later in December.  When you are using your list to shop, evaluate the situation at each store and decide if the item or items you wish to purchase there are really worth what lies ahead of you.

I remember one year going into a small toy store at our mall and the line to check out snaked up and down FIVE aisles!  I was only going there for one thing and I decided it was NOT worth the hassle to stand in line for about an hour to save $5.  My time was worth more than that so I decided to amend my plan.

Being flexible is the name of the game during the Christmas shopping season.  If you think the parking lot is too crowded, think about where else you might get the item or have one person (an older child) get in line when you go in and shopping time will be cut in half.  Just be flexible and go with the flow and enjoy the day and don't let the hassle factor ruin your day!

One of the best ways to help with your Christmas shopping is to decide who you need gifts for before you leave.  It is even better if you know what you are looking for to reduce stress of the crowds.  Consider giving gifts from within your home that you have already purchased and are sitting in your gift closet or making homemade goodies for them.  Another way to reduce the shopping stress is to order online and have the gifts delivered directly to the person.

There are lots of little ways to reduce stress and help you enjoy your shopping experience during the Christmas season - think outside the box and plan ahead before you ever leave the house.  Of course if you can stay at home and shop it is even better!
