WINTER and SNOW

I supposed that I'm really different than most people. I LOVE snow and winter weather, and I'm not a skiier! I just enjoy the coziness of winter and the feeling of being "safe and warm inside" while outside, the storm rages. My husband and sons are real outdoorsmen, they are in the mountains this morning, hunting. I'm sure they are getting snowed on at that elevation, but I'm here at home snug and cozy, simmering a pot of soup on the stove so it will be ready for them when they get home. I've got a fire in the woodstove and I just realized that I have made us sound like the wilderness family. We really are not. I just like old-fashioned things: cooking from scratch, knitting, quilting, wood fires, and Santa Claus and Peace on Earth!
