Autumn thoughts

I usually get a huge burst of Christmas spirit when the weather begins to change from Summer to Fall. You know the time, when there is that little "nip" of coolness in the air, and the pumpkins in the garden are getting orange and you have to turn on a light when you get up in the morning. This year in Utah, we have had the longest and hottest summer on record. I say it's the longest because we are still experiencing July-like temperatures and tomorrow is the first day of September. I really long for the more temperate feel of Autumn. I think that, today, I will hang my Autumn leaf wreath on the front door, and find my Autumn decorations for the kitchen and living room. Maybe I'll even get busy and sew myself an Apron out of that Autumn leaf print I bought on sale last summer. Am I trying to hurry along the changing of the seasons? YES! I'm very tired of the heat!
