August already!

August already, and we are getting ready for "back-to-school" at our house. We've been learning to celebrate Christmas in different ways the last few years as more and more of my five children leave home to start their own families. My baby is a Senior in High School this year, and Christmas is something that he and I share great interest in. We sat down together the other evening when everyone else was occupied, and watched "The Preacher's Wife" together, and it was soooo much fun! I love it when someone else in the family gets in the Christmasy mood right along with me. I went yesterday morning to pick up the exhibits that I entered in the county fair. A quilt I'd make for a Christmas gift, a Christmas afghan I crocheted and also a pair of knitted mittens I made for a grand-daughter. BLUE RIBBONS! I was so thrilled! I spent the prize money on. . .you guessed it!. . .yarn and patterns for next year!
