Hello, I'm new and I love Christmas

Hi Everyone!  I'm new here, and, like most of you, I love Christmas and everything about it.  I also love to prepare for it all through the year.  I really think that Christmas is not a date, but a state of mind!

   Today, I am going to spend time knitting on a pair of mittens for my daughter in law #2.  I have a goal to knit soft, warm mittens for all the girls and grandkids in our family.  I'm the Mom of 5 and grandma of four, so that's 7 pairs of mittens.  So far this month, I've done six pair.  The little ones are pretty fast to make, but the adult ones are a bit more involved.  I'm also working on a quilt for my youngest son, he's soon to be 17 years old.
