Christmas Cleaning - September 11
September 11
This week we need to think about plans, goals, and dreams! And not only think, but write them down, so we will have a road map for success. Let me say that again. Write it down ! There is a well know saying, " Write it down, make it happen". So many times, we think that we do not need to write something down. This usually turns out to be the first wrong turn we make. So, just so you do remember, this is your road map, or reference point for measuring your progress toward your goals. I don't think that anyone would disagree with me that when you are planning the best Christmas for yourself and your family one of the things that we assume is we will have a clean house. We want our home to be welcoming and inviting and a clean, well ordered house makes the perfect background for the best of Christmases. One of the ways that we achieve this is in our Christmas decorating. But first we need a "clean" area to work with. The only way to have it clean is to plan and make it happen. That is what this week is about, thinking out our cleaning and writing out a plan to follow. I also want to touch on the subject of TIME. This program is going to be laid out over twelve weeks. The plan will call for investing thirty minutes a day, six days a week in preparation for Christmas. Each week contains 168 hours and we will devote three of those hours each week in cleaning and getting ready. As you can see we are not talking about a great deal of time, just a little concentrated effort on a consistent basis. You will also be doing the AM and PM challenges, and the normal things we do everyday to keep order in our homes. So set your timer and if you don't have one, now is the time to get one!
We can all get ready to start our journey to a welcoming home for the holiday season – we will be doing prep work until September 25th – then we will start the cleaning plan.
