Are You Over-Booked, Over-Stressed & Out of Christmas JOY?  The Christmas Coach is Here to Help!

Christmas at the hunting cabin

I'm looking for inexpensive Christmas decorating ideas for a small & rustic (read 'seedy') one room cabin used for hunting in the fall. It will serve as the guest cottage for visiting smokers over the holidays, and I'm playing with the idea of leaving it decorated as a Christmas Every Day Guest House/hunting cabin. Any ideas that can stand up to wood and cigerette smoke ( and the sometimes wild and wacky hunting crowd ) are welcome. Thanks!

How about doing an upside

How about doing an upside down Christmas tree?  I know they make ones specialy made to do that but when I was in a Christmas store over the summer they had used regular smaller trees to do it - the one I really liked was a tree the size of the $10 or $20 one at Wal-Mart turned upside down and it looked liked something to go in an entry hall (that is how they had it looking - I plan to use that size tree once I figure out how to attatch it to the celing!)

Wacky Decoration

I am not sure how much this is but I saw it at a Chrsitmas store in Gatlinburg, TN - they have a reindeer head that sings Christmas songs like that fish that sings songs.  It was a blast to do it in the store!

Hunting Cabin....

You might want to try looking at www.lakeside.com. They have some cute bear garland, bear candle holders, shower curtain, and matching accessories, and some other "rustic" things, and they are pretty reasonable. If I see anything else in another catalog, I'll try to remember to tell you where I saw it. :) Good luck. Cathie
