For the past 10+ years, there has been a Festival of Lights built in Newport News City Park in Newport News, Virginia. It's a beautiful light desplay to drive through, beginning Thanksgiving Day and going on until New Year's Day. The cost is only a few dollars, and that money goes towards upkeep of the lights, with any extra going to a local charity.
