Entertaining during the holidays can take on many different forms – from small family gathering to large formal parties.  Now is the time to start planning who you want to entertain and on what scale. 

• Do you enjoy entertaining at your house?  If not, do not do it or arrange to entertain at a local restaurant or community room – you will enjoy the holiday more!
• How many parties do you want to have at your house?
• What type of parties do you want have? (Cookie Exchange, Dessert Party, Ornament Exchange, Happy Birthday Jesus party, Crafting Party, Dinner Party, etc.)
• Are you going to supply all the food?
• Are you going to allow children to attend?
• Do you need to reserve a place for the party?
• Do you need to hire someone to make any of the food?
• Do you need to schedule a cleaning service?
• Do you need to borrow or rent extra tables/chairs?
• Write down ideas for entertaining that you liked or did not like from previous parties you have given or attended.
