Are You Over-Booked, Over-Stressed & Out of Christmas JOY?  The Christmas Coach is Here to Help!

I Have Began Buying Gifts

It is now January 2006 and I have already purchased almost 40 gifts for next year.  I am really excited about the upcoming Christmas season (I know we just got finished with this year!)

Today I will start re organizing my gift closet and working on my gift closet cards to know what I have.  I want to also "shop" the best I can out of it and cut down on some of the items I need to purchase.

I think I have some things already in my closet that will knock down quite a few items on my list.  Since I am doing this online I will have to figure out how to report on gifts without putting names to them so people do not know what they are getting!

Hope you can work on your gift list this New Year's!

I have begun to buy gifts for 2006

Hi There:

One thing I try to do is to buy a silly, fun gift for the members of my husband's family.  My family is not that type at all, being as they are a bit "straight-laced" and all.  Anyway, last year, just for fun every member got a box of crayons.  They loved it!!  (I was a bit surprised at their reaction as I knew it would bring smiles and a few laughs but not the all out laughter that it caused).  The year before (2004), I gave everyone bubblebath.   It was fun.

This year, I am thinking of something in the food line.

What a great idea you have!

Hi Krisann:

It's funny but I have a similar place where I put gifts that I buy for each Christmas but never thought to put a name on it.  Now I know what to call it.

The place where I stash items for the upcoming Holiday Season is a refrigerator that is no long in use.  Can you believe it!!  This refrigerator is one which has no freezer unit - just sheleves and is quite large.  I have it down in the cellar and off to the side.  Since my husband and I have no children I do not have to worry about anyone "peeking".  We prop open the door so no funny ordors get on the gifts.  I usually label each shelf with my family or my husband's family and place the gifts in grocery bags (paper) with the name of the individual on them.  I cannot believe how many gift ideas I find during my shopping trips.

Oh, the name of this item where all the gifts are stored will now forever be called the Christmas Cabinet.  It sounds better that calling it the "frig" - don't you think?
