What a blessed day
Submitted by Krisann Blair on Sat, 12/26/2009 - 04:45.Today was a very blessed day. We opened gifts this morning, then had brunch and just spent time as a family. My mother-in-law and her husband came over and we all went to the movies in the evening and then to drive around and see some Christmas lights.
Now is time to begin work on next Christmas!

Santa is throwing up . . .
Submitted by Krisann Blair on Thu, 12/24/2009 - 18:31.While the chances that we will have a white snow is very slim here in at our house but we are still having some interesting weather. The winds are strong here and our waving Santa keeps falling over at the rail and the kids say he looks like he is throwing up :) . You never know what kids are thinking - lol - will have to go take a picture of him "thowing up" if the winds die down.

Today is Christmas Eve. and we are getting final things ready to attend services tonight and then prepare for activities tomorrow. Christmas Organizing's 24 Days of Christmas
Submitted by Krisann Blair on Wed, 12/02/2009 - 15:35.Yesterday I started a new feature - Christmas Organizing's 24 Days of Christmas. Many people ask me for tips and hints during the month of December to help while they are in the throws of Christmas events so I started this new feature. The days will actually go backwards - the numbers counting down to Christmas day. Then after Christmas day I will continue on by doing Christmas Organizing's 12 Days AFTER Christmas.
I will be using Twitter and Facebook as much as possible so please come follow me!
See the box at the bottom of the page to become a fan of Christmas Organizing on Facebook.

Ramblings . . .
Submitted by Krisann Blair on Wed, 12/02/2009 - 15:28.Well yesterday I was able to turn the Christmas lights on outside once we got back from our trip to see family. I left the Sunday before Thanksgiving and just got back yesterday.
All along the way I dropped off Christmas presents (and shopped a little too!) so I have a big chunk of Christmas presents wrapped, tagged and delivered! All the gifts to my Aunt and Uncle and my cousin and his wife have been delivered. All my cousins in WV have their gifts (that is about 25) - just need to send 2 gifts and my grandmother's gifts via the mail.
Today I will work on my Chrismtas cards and more lights for the outside of the house for the contest this weekend.

Outside Decorations
Submitted by Krisann Blair on Sun, 11/15/2009 - 23:07.Ok I am continuing to work on outside decorations. We have been working on putting them up since the middle of October. So far we have:
Put the lights around the house on the gutters (6 strands)
Pt up a LARGE 5ft diameter lighted wreath on the house
All the bush lights
Lights on the railing and also the greenery on the railings.
On our balcony we have put our lighted JOY. This is a new place this year for it and it works so much better!
Placed the little pathway lighted trees along the sidewalk leading up to the house
Put up the metal lighted Christmas Tree
Put up the Christmas tree on the covered porch and put lights on it
Placed and secured the garland over the door
And there is still more to go . . . .

Christmas Organizing - begining to put the plan into action!
Submitted by Krisann Blair on Thu, 10/08/2009 - 08:37.Ok I know for many of you it is still too early to start thinking about actually putting your plan into action - but not for me! I spent yesterday going through my gift sheves and beginning to prepare gifts to be wrapped and boxed up for mailing!
The next thing I have started working on and will hopefully get to put it into action today if it doesn't rain is that I have began staging the outside lights and garland to come down from the attic and to the front side porch. I hope to get the lights hung around the house in the next day or two.
I have November 7th scheduled to make my Christmas cards but I need to go and purchase envelopes for them. So my list is starting to stack up but I am loving it! I have a plan and I am sticking to it!

Another Idea for one of your trees!
Submitted by Christmas Twigs on Wed, 07/22/2009 - 05:31.Christmas is what I do at www.christmastwigs.com and I love your idea for decorating 50 trees! What about a teddy bear tree? You can decorate a tree using quilt batting for snow and then put a variety of teddy bears on the branches. Makes a darling tree for Christmas!
You can find trees on my site with bears climbing the branches. Even life size bears holding onto the tree! They are fun to look at and will inspire lots of holiday creativity!
Happy Holidays!
